I’m a 29year male, is it unusal for someone of my age to be suffering from male incontinence?
Yes it is uncommon, but saying that, there are several guys who suffer from it.
See your doctor to find out if there is a medical reason, if not it is probably stress related.
Try not to worry about it, you are not alone in this.

I have SUI and ever since I developed it I haven’t gone swimming because I don’t want to have episodes in the water. Swimming is something I enjoy and I want to be able to do it again. How can I swim without having to worry about that?
have you tried going before hand? That should give you a window to swim, maybe not a long time but its time none the less. There are some swimming diapers but they are pointless as the urine would diffuse in the water anyway. What about a private pool that you own, like an endless pool, and you regulate the chemicals to ensure less bacteria (even though urine is sterile)
The only other thought I could offer on that would be swimming in a lake, river, ocean, etc. instead of a pool.
Would having intercourse with a girl suffering from urinary incontinence, cure her incontinence?
If no one knows, I’d have to try it myself, but after searching for a girl who has such urinary incontinence that she still needs to wear diapers. But instead of spending all that effort, please tell me right here. Thanks.
no. the urethra is separate from the vagina.
I was wondering if a person has a medical condition such as overactive bladder, or taking strong diuretics and has a doctors note saying that, will a person (male or female) get arrested for indecent public exposure?
Let’s say he/she has a doctors note saying " Mr/Mrs Smith may urinate in public due to a medical condition".
How about people with fecal incontinence, if he/she has a note that says he/she can defecate in public, will it be OK?
No, not OK. If it is that bad they need to be wearing diapers or a catheter
I saw a commercial/infomercial for a devices to help with stress incontinence several months ago.
I can’t remember the name of the device but it wasn’t Kegelmaster.
According to current protocols, treatment of stress incontinence mainly involves:
-application of previously fitted pessary-rings placed inside the vagina;
-medication (helps if the bladder is overactive or irregularly active);
-exercises (Kegel exercises);
-rehabilitation involving bladder training (with bio-feedback) and avoiding stress-bearing situation;
-neurological stimulation (electrical stimulation for obtaining nerve responses and a few other invasive methods) or
-surgery for pelvic disorders.
I know I haven’t precisely stated a name of a product (therefore haven’t helped "per se"), but first consider consulting a gynecologist subspecialized in stress incontinence, since only subtle differences in manifestation can be very helpful in determining its type (several types, very many subtypes of urinary stress inc.) and the most effective mode of treatment.
I have already taken my cat into the emergency vet in my area and he is spending the night getting fluids and being monitored, however, I still have no answer as to what is really going on and was looking for some insight. He is a three year old, neutered male. He was fine today and I had even seen him a few minutes before the emergency situation occurred. All of a sudden I heard him making painful meowing noises. I opened my door and he was clawing his way with his front paws and dragging himself up the stairs without moving his hind legs. His back end was sunk down and his left leg was limping horribly and he could barely walked as he limped into my room. He continued limping and his back was sunk looking when he limply fell to his side and as he laid down a second he started pooping on accident. He didn’t even know it was happening. He saw and tried to move away from it. Soon after he began peeing. He was able to manage to get onto my bed somehow and accidentally leaked there. The entire time he wanted me to know he was in pain and he was meowing in that painful tone. I took him the vet and they have only done blood work so far which showed somewhat elevated glucose and lower potassium. They are doing some fluids over night. He began walking normal at the vet though at first they thought paralysis and blood clot. What could be going on?
I’m asking this question again to clarify that he is an indoor cat and when I said I was opened my door, it was my bedroom door. He is terrified of the outside and does not go outdoors. I also am asking again because the vet still has no clue. He began walking again and is fine now, but I’m still concerned. They want me to get him an MRI and a heart ultrasound, but I can’t afford it right now after the emergency vet bill. Any suggestions or similar experience of what it could be?
Thanks everyone, all of your answers were helpful and appreciated. I am surprised that one of you said that he could have simply just been scared, because that’s what I was originally thinking it was but the vets told me that a behavior thing would not have caused this. We had my four month old baby cousin spending the night the night it happened and he was having a hard time getting used to it and the baby had woke up crying right before it happened and my mom said my cat seemed scared. I can’t believe he literally might have scared himself stiff! It sounds likely though and I would be happy if that was the case, because then I know something isn’t medically wrong. I will try my best to get it looked into further, but that is reassuring.
My vet found that when my cat was in the same situation was that he, a three year old cat got so scared about something it paralyzed himself then came in only been able to move his front part of his body and was leeking and pooing as well. He lost control of all is back section and yer.
Sounds the same as your cat and it is very probable for it’s scared of going outside so something outside scared it.
So now its walking fine so that sounds good.
and tassy, you are lucky i dont no u otherwise… stop been a bi-tch
thanks a lot tassy for giving me a thumbs down! i reported u!

Also, I had to very forcefully get him into the cat carrier to get him to the vet. He resisted and fought and seemed very angry at me like how could I be doing this to him. The whole way there he gave me hissing and looks that he hated me. Will he ever forgive me for putting him through this? But most importantly, what do you think could be going on?
He might have gotten into a fight with another cat. If the cat was able to puncture his back leg with a claw it could have easily gotten infected causing all of the described symptoms. I recently had this happen to one of my cats, he behaved aggressively towards me when this happened but he has forgiven me now so I’m sure your cat will too.
do kegel exercises….? mainly i want to cure my urine incontinence……plz advice sincerely…
Absolutely. i practiced such excercises at an earlier without the name attached. I felt the muscles. Now as an adult, I can have multiple orgasms as a male. Believe it or not.
I would suggest if you have incontinene at 14 years old you shouldn’t be experiencing this unless you are taking meds that might cause this or there is some KNOWN medical issue, so I would advise medical attention regardless unless you are already aware of why you have this issue.
Postscript – i have an odd suggestion. my mother and i both have. i am male, she is female. i taught us both a trick to help relax our muscles to urinate when needed if you have trouble with starting urination email or contact me and I will tell you what this is.
Incontinence otherwise all hangs upon WHY first and second your answer given Kegel is fine for adolescent take care if already having ureter issues though without medical advice if you haven’t seen a doc about this yet.
I would almost like more info again contact if you’d like further advice regarding MY lack of info to help more.
Good Care & Luck

I have a bladder issue that is being worked on. I will soon have surgery. I am young and still get a period. Can incontinence pads be used as menstrual pads?
yes they can
I have urinary and bowel incontinence, should i use diapers i cant control when i "go" thanks.
Yes diapers are very good to help with incontinence but i would also look into getting other type of products like briefs or disposable pads.
Incontinence pads can be used for many levels of incontinence:
Pads for light to moderate incontinence, Pads for moderate to severe incontinence includes larger shaped pads and all-in-One pads are also suitable for moderate to severe incontinence when ease of use is also important.
Everything above is good for on the move and at night but also look into mattress protectors etc.. for the night.
Hope this helps.
