I have a son in the Autism Spectrum as well, he wasn’t 100% potty trained until he was almost 12.

kegals, core strengthing, biofeedback, vagina weights.

very professional.

I know a bunch of people who have overcome theirincontinence with it.

Need to go to someone who has experience and additional education in this area. It is definately a speciality.

I’ve never heard of anyone having that problem just from going through puberty.

If it’s a guy having that problem, they should have their prostrate checked right away, because it can be a symptom of prostate cancer or some other serious condition, it happened to one of my friends who was only 16.

They make mens pant liners now days so if you piss yourself they take all the flood of water. Then when you get to the next bus shelter take your trousers and pants off and change the wet liner, putting the wet one in the bin to be recycled by the next unluckey pisser person.

Not normally. You may be on medications that cause it. And yes, it should stop. also, pay attention to damaged or sore perineum, rectum or rectal muscles, but they will heal. If you mean bladder control, see UTI.

Based on my cat’s last run-in with a UTI, at the most expensive vet clinic in a small Mid West town –

$46.00 office call
$22.00 urinalysis (she peed and they collected it, so charges for catheterization or a needle would be higher)
$6.00 amoxicillin
$9 Pill Pockets (totally optional, but this sure made it easier to give the meds)

Expect to have to run another urinalysis after the course of meds is through to make sure the infection is all cleared up.

For us, it was just a matter of a vet visit cost, and a round of certain antibiotics. Our cat had a strange symptom of a bladder infection, which I never heard of before, so I want to share it. Our cat started drooling. I went into the bedroom and saw a large wet pattern on my bedspread. We took him the next day and it was a bladder infection. He was cleared up in one round of antibiotics.

Also, depedning on your cat’s symptoms, it can be urinary crystals, especially in a male cat. If you see your cat straining in the box, this is an URGENT crisis. In our other cat’s case, it was a partial blockage, not a total blockage. Either way, the cat’s bladder can burst. Also, when an animal (or human) can’t urinate, the potassium in our bodies accumulates to the point that it stops the heart. We were lucky that we caught him straining in his box, or we would have never saw it. This was expensive to treat, because it happened on a weekend with our little guy, therefore it was an emergency visit. The cat has to have a catheter placed in for a minimum of 3 days in the vet’s office. He is now on a special urinary formula diet for life. Either way, your cat does need medical help.

It all depends on the vet you go to..some vets cost more than others but your main convcern should be your cats health. You can call around to local vets and try and get a price check on treatment.
