Is it true that anal rape can cause fecal incontinence?

I heard that this is actually common in prisons, because some people are raped on a daily basis, and eventually they become permanently incontinent. Is this true, or just a myth?

Repeated anal trauma – which isn’t what happens in normal anal sex – undoubtedly could cause incontinence.
